Five Finger Death Punch, ‘Wrong Side of Heaven’ Track-by-Track Commentary (Webisode 1) – Exclusive Video Preview

There’s still several weeks before the first volume of Five Finger Death Punch’s ‘The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell’ hits stores, but it’s never too early to study up on the highly anticipated release. Noisecreep and Loudwire are proud to partner up to bring you this exclusive first webisode in a series of track-by-track descriptions of songs from the new record.

Frontman Ivan Moody states before delving into the disc that the creation of the double album was the result of a creative groove unlike anything they’ve had before. “Once we got in there and started working, the material just started coming out almost like water out of a fountain. It was real fluent and everything was going perfectly, song after song after song and by the time we were done, we realized we were sitting on 24 or 25 tracks of music,” says Moody. “We have two choices at this point. We can shelf a lot of it and put it off for the next album or this album or this that and the other, or we can just make a double album.”

The vocalist, along with drummer Jeremy Spencer, guitarist Zoltan Bathory and bassist Chris Kael, all took part in this first episode in which they discuss the ‘Wrong Side of Heaven’s’ second and third songs — ‘Watch You Bleed’ and ‘You.’

Speaking with tongue firmly in cheek, Spencer says ‘Watch You Bleed’ is a “positive” song that’s “good family stuff,” while Moody laughs about its “wholesome” nature. As for ‘You,’ Moody calls it one of the most brutal songs the band has recorded, while Kael discusses how it’s a return to their ‘Way of the Fist’ form. To see the full commentary on both tracks, watch the video below.

Five Finger Death Punch’s ‘The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell’ arrives July 30. It’s currently available for pre-order via iTunes and Amazon. Look for the band playing the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival this summer and keep an eye out for the remaining “track-by-track” commentary videos arriving in the weeks leading up to the album release.

Ничто не вызывает с такой силой прошлого, как музыка; она достигает большего: когда она вызывает его, кажется, будто оно само проходит перед нами, окутанное, подобно теням тех, кто дорог нам, таинственным и печальным покровом.
